Established in 1945, World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year worldwide on 16 October to raise awareness concerning hunger and food security. Countries observe the day to combat hunger, contribute to peace in conflict areas and to play role in stopping the use of hunger in the form of a weapon for war and conflict.

TKS campuses countrywide hold activities through which students are made aware of the mass of people who go without decent sustenance on a daily basis. Additionally, in keeping with this year’s theme of “Safe Food Now for a Healthy Tomorrow,” they will be taught which foods are safe and nutritious to eat in order to help plan their diets out better.
