International Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5th October. Initiated in 1994, the day commemorates the creation of an instrument that addresses the status and situations of teachers around the world. While outlining a number of standards relating to training and working conditions of teachers, the day itself is used to appreciate the educators of the world for their hard work and untiring efforts to ensure that everyone has the most basic of human rights: the right to an education. This day serves to provide an opportunity to focus on issues relating to teaching and training.

TKS campuses celebrate this day as it serves to strengthen bonds between teachers and students, with students conducting activities that demonstrate their appreciation for the mentors in their lives.
