Defence Day is a national day in Pakistan and is celebrated on the 6th of September every year. It commemorates the sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending the borders of the country. On that date in 1965, Indian troops crossed the border to launch an attack on Pakistani Punjab in retaliation for perceived aggression in Jammu.
This day is celebrated by TKS campuses all over the country to inform students of patriotic duty and the honour in sacrifice for others. TKS students take part in many activities throughout the day that promote these messages.
