Mother's Day is a celebration honoring the mother of a family, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society in general. It is celebrated at various times in various places all over the world, but the dates usually fall in the months of May and March. In Pakistan this year, the day will be celebrated on Sunday, May 9. The day involves paying tribute to mothers all over the world for the sacrifices they make motivated by the love they carry for their children. In many countries, particularly Eastern countries, mothers are always held in high regard and esteem, and this day is a culmination of the respect and love one should display towards their materfamilias. In TKS, students are instructed in conducting activites on this day that encourage them to take note of the daily labour of their mothers and to fashion keepsakes demonstrating affection, love and respect towards them.
