INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS 2021

  • Saturday, March 20, 2021

Since 2013, the United Nations has celebrated the International Day of Happiness as a way to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world. In 2015, the UN prescribed sustainable development goals for its member nations, which seek to end poverty, reduce inequality and protect our planet – three key aspects that lead to well-being and happiness.

Thus, to promote happiness and well-being as universal goals that all people should aspire to, TKS celebrates this day in tandem with the UN and conducts activities amongst its students that informs them of the general inequitability in the world which leads to poverty. These activities encourage them to focus on achieving goals in their adult lives that promote sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and the well-being of all peoples.
